Day 101 - Buzios, Brazil

Today has been exactly what we needed for three key reasons:
1) We have got stunning weather which has not been quite as frequent as we have liked.
2) The pool is absolutely gorgeous - the perfect place to lounge around all day and
3) It is so nice to have a day where I don't have to think whatsoever about any arrangements, where to go, how to get there, are we bring ripped off, is it safe, is it worth doing etc etc etc (the heart bleeds I know!).

The plan for today is simple. Breakfast by the pool. Move 3 meters to sun longer by the pool. Stay by pool all day with dips to cool down. Walk into town for dinner that evening. Sheer bliss.

That's me sorted for the day.

It's really hot today - a nice 33 degrees with a gentle breeze. The pool is the perfect temperature for cooling down in too. Such a lovely pool.

Even Nat opts to get wet today!! I kept expecting her to put her poncho on before jumping in though!

At about 5.30 when the sun had died down a bit I decided to go for a run. Once again it's so nice being in a place where you can just go out and run 10k with no worries or hassles. Although that said, I did have a lot of hassles along the way - all of the steep hills that were pretty gruelling to run up.

Great views from the top though. One of the most picturesque runs I have done.

Just when you think you are on the down hill towards home boom. Another huge hill. Surprisingly all the trekking we have been doing has actually strengthened my legs and I don't feel it as much.

After jumping in the pool to cool down after my run (wish I could do this at home) we have a few beers and play shithead on our balcony before making our way into town for dinner.

The Devassa beer is definitely the best of the local varieties although the Bad Moose is a lot better (not sure where it is from though).

That evening we find a really cool restaurant along the water front called Buddha Beach and they do fantastic value sushi. We get a huge platter between us for £20. We have been craving sushi and this hits the spot. Great quality too.

They even have a band playing although beware bars with bands in Brazil. The fee for their services always makes it's way onto your bill which is a bit cheeky. It isn't much but you end up spending £3-5 each for their enforced services.

After dinner we head back for film night part 2. Tonight we watch Fight Club or more accurately, half of it before we both fall asleep this time. This has surprisingly been one of the most perfect (and certainly most needed) days of our trip so far. Loving Buzios.
