Bali Aug 2014 - Day 5

The morning after the night before...  I sense Nat is not going to be much company today!!

I do manage to get her out of bed for breakfast which was a very pleasant surprise (the breakfast that is). Gorgeous menu with some real Aaron pleasers on it. This mornings choice was smoke salmon and cream cheese bagel. Nat's choice... A yoghurt!

I then lose Nat back to the bed as I head down to the pool. She finally surfaces a couple of hours later a bit brighter.

Our lovely little 'care basket' they brought us whilst sunbathing with water, fruit and sun cream plus a flag to stick up if you want service! Nice touch.

And resume position. Now I might have to drop down to a blog every few days for the next part of the holiday for fear of it getting rather repetitive and boring.

More pics of our lovely pool. Deceptively long when you swim a length.

Our position for the day... Bottom left.

I spend the rest of the afternoon between my book on the sun lounger, the pool and the sea. The current in the sea is ridiculously strong (luckily pushing you back into shore) so couldn't quite enjoy the waves as much.

Just a hint of one of those amazing sunsets. Unfortunately the cloud scuppers it again. Noticing a pattern at this time of the evening with the cloud. I hope we get to see at least one.

That evening I drag myself for a 10km run which as pretty painful then we head into town to find the main strip which has loads of gorgeous bars, restaurants and shops. We didn't get past the first restaurant as it looked so nice. It was called the Corner House whichever describes itself as Restaurant. Bar. Interiors. Which was fitting as the place was decorated amazingly. We want our future kitchen to be exactly like it!

The food was phenomenal too and amazing value. I had a very tasty beef bourgenion and Nat the pasta.

Love this pic.

Bit of a red face.

After dinner we go for a walk up the road. We really are spoilt for choice here for amazing, cool restaurants. It has more of a London feel - filament light bulbs everywhere!

We had a night cap in a bar called Nirvana then decide to call it a night. Both well in need of bed following last night.

Now the thing you have been waiting for. The answers to the plane riddles. Eric you got one right - #4 was indeed because he was driving in the daylight.

In terms of the rest:
#1 lunch and dinner
#2 February (shortest month)
#3 they are all statements / facts i.e "what" has 4 letters etc.

Hope you have enjoyed this little intellectual work out!

Quiz results v interesting- loved those! Bit disappointed in my wrong answer for the month that people slept the least in....obvious now...need to think outside that wretched box more!!!
    3 was impossible....duuuuhhhhh!!!
Anyway, Beanies...rainy and cool here today- wise choice of weeks to spend in Bali, methinks! Off to sleep now...saying a prayer for your special Grandad, Sid, tonight, Aaron, -a gentle, kind, man with a twinkly smile that is lighting up heaven now. Will have him, you, and your family in my thoughts and prayers this day. Special hugs and kisses, Eric xxx
