We wake up ready to explore the very lovely Santa Barbara a little tired this morning as the climate in our room is a bit crazy, either boiling hot or freezing cold.
We get our stuff together and walk into town, down State Street, to Joe's Cafe for breakfast. It's a good breakfast but they don't have my customary bagel and cream cheese that I have become so accustomed too.
After breakfast we take a walk down the pier and have a drink at The Harbour Restaurant before having a nice walk down the coast whee they had a Sunday market on which sold all sorts of random stuff.
More pictures of palm trees. I think it is impossible to take a picture of a palm tree on a blue sky and it not look cool!
This was such a cool stall that made gorgeous furniture out of old wine barrels.
The 'totally rad' skaters.
We then have a nice smoothie in Hot Spots Cafe before deciding to go and get the car and have a drive further up the coast.
We soon find a lovely little beach and have a drink at a gorgeous restaurant called Boat House Hendry's Beach. It is one of those places you could easily while away a Sunday afternoon at but as I am driving we head back for a little nap before we go out. Need to do something to help is make it out past 9pm!
After a nice nap we head back to State Street to sample some of the cool dive bars that were in abundance down there. Fantastic looking tree on the walk into town.
We head to Whiskey Richards bar which is brilliant and has all the hallmarks of a good dove bar, great beer, pool tables, great music, posters over all the walls and a general run down vibe. We have a few in here before heading up the road to find somewhere to eat.
We end up having another Mexican at a place called Sandbar
Once again too much food is ordered...
And food coma is upon us once again...
That pretty much killed any momentum for the evening and we head home after dinner. Still, at least it was 11pm tonight. Check us!!!
